Our Journey

Mom and Dad have known and loved each other for more than 20 years, and through a number of twists and turns found our way back to each other for our nearly perfect love story ending... with only one thing missing.  We have dreamed of having a little one for so long, even before we were married, and couldn't wait for this time in our lives.  We had a long road ahead...  Our story isn't much different than many other couples, unfortunately.  Having a child wasn't quite as easy as planning and trying.  We learned that this was the one thing we couldn't make happen no matter how hard we tried.  After years of doctor's appointments, consultations, tests, vitamins, medications, surgeries, and pregnancy losses, we finally decided to opt for IVF.  Our first IVF attempt yielded three chromosomally abnormal embryos, which left us devastated, and so we decided to wait until after the Christmas holiday to try again.

Well, 2016 must be our year, because we found our miracle in March when we learned that our one surviving embryo was chromosomally PERFECT!  In April, four days before Mom's 40th birthday,  on April 13th, our little embryo found its home and we prayed and prayed for everything to be okay.  With the help of doctors, and medicines, our family and friends helping to give injections (Kristen, Lisa, Monica, Adrienne, Tara, and let's not forget the nurse, Karen, in the restroom at the Salt Lake City airport), we are happy to report that as of today, July 9th, we are currently 15 weeks along and starting this site to keep everyone in the loop so you can share our journey.

Thank you to our family on earth for being in our lives, crying and praying along with us, and sharing in our joy.  Thank you to our family in heaven for being our guardian angels - we know in our hearts you are with us smiling down.
